It contains modified cornstarch, wheat flour, cream, chicken meat, vegetable oil, seasoning, and various artificial flavors and preservatives. On the other hand, when you make it at home, you can use organic or non-organic ingredients according to your preferences. The second reason to make your own cream of soups is that it's much cheaper. A small can from the grocery store can cost around $1.98, and most recipes require at least two cans. By making it at home, you can save money while enjoying a healthier version of these classic soups. One of the bonuses of knowing how to make things from scratch is that you are empowered to create dishes even when you run out of certain ingredients. Now, let's get started with the recipes! Cream of Chicken Soup Recipe: Ingredients: - 6 tablespoons of butter - 6 tablespoons of flour - Homemade chicken stock or broth - 1 cup of milk (your choice) - 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper - 1 teaspoon of garlic salt Instructions: 1.
