Ingredients:
- 8 oz cheddar cheese
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard
- Cracked black pepper
- 1/4 cup light brown sugar
- 2 tsp to 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 4 sheets of puff pastry
- Fresh chopped parsley for garnish
Cooking steps:
- Preheat your oven to 415°F (or 400°F if calibrated correctly) and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Grate 8 oz of cheddar cheese and set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk together 2 large eggs, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 1/2 tbsp Dijon mustard, and cracked black pepper.
- In another bowl, combine 1/4 cup light brown sugar, 2 tsp to 1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes, and 1/2 tsp smoked paprika.
- On a floured work surface, roll out 4 sheets of puff pastry to an even thickness.
- Brush one side of a puff pastry sheet with the egg wash.
- Sprinkle the light brown sugar mixture evenly over the egg wash.
